ABOUT US
Our hotel is a subsidiary of Yasar Holding and is one of the biggest facilities of Turkey established in 140.000 m2 area in Cesme, in 80 km west of beautiful Izmir, the pearl of the Aegean. Its construction was started in 1972 and completed in such a period as 18 months and came into operation in the summer of 1974. Altın Yunus is the first one thousand-people, first class holiday village of Turkey and the Middle East.
Altın Yunus has been the leader of Turkish tourism for years and took the task of a school by training numerous tourism professionals and managers and contributed to the development of tourism.
It fulfilled great and significant responsibilities in promoting the country, entertaining foreign and domestic government men and also large and small international events.
Our facility being very significant for Turkish tourism today renews itself continuously and carries on fulfilling its responsibilities with a modern service approach.
DESCRIPTION OF THE HOTEL
Our hotel located on the lovely coast of the Aegean Sea consists of the main building, Marin and Marin Plus Rooms. We have 423 unique rooms and suites in the area of 140.000 m2. Our facility has also a private marina with the capacity of 200 yachts.
NUMBER OF ROOMS
There are total 423 rooms at our hotel as 319 at the main building, 34 Marin Plus rooms, 45 Marin Rooms, 2 Golden Suits, 6 Ocean Suits, 17 Junior Suits. Total bed capacity is 937-person.
ROOM FEATURES
Bathroom with bathtub (walk-in shower at Marin Plus and Marin rooms), central air-conditioner, hot- line telephone, hair dryer, satellite TV, info channel, music channel, mini bar, safe box and balcony are available in every room. There is also a kitchen with main equipment for our guests at Marin and Marin Plus rooms.

STORY OF THE GOLDEN DOLPHIN
In the very old times, there was a fishing village in the place where Altın Yunus is located now. A child called Hermais used to live here with his family. One day, Hermais and his friends went swimming to play and swim. A fierce storm broke out after a while and waves rose more and more and children ran away and went back to the village. However, Hermais did not come back. His mother waited for Hermias on the shore for days but to no end…
Years passed and one day a fisherman saw blonde Hermias on a dolphin swimming in windy waves but he could not catch him.
He told what he had seen when he went back to the village to everyone. Hermias’ mother was hopeful again and ran to the shore but she could not see her son.
The dolphin took care of Hermais and grew him for years. It became his best friend. Of course, Hermias grew up and got older. He died naturally. The dolphin brought Hermais to the shore and left him there. The magic dolphin not being able to go back into the sea died next to Hermais. All people spoke about the friendship of the dolphin and Hermais for years and this event became a myth. The mytological place of this myth is Cesme Altın Yunus. People turned the friendship of Hermias and the dolphin into a golden statue and this statue is in the form as the village man saw Hermias and maintains its mythological character.
